White Lilies

The beautiful white lily symbolizes purity, chastity, and innocence. However, they are also flowers of death, to glorify the deceased. Did she receive those flowers from a lover? Or is she grieving about someone she recently lost? Is there a hint of sadness in her eyes? ...

The feline lady is an Asian Golden Cat and the picture was painted with gouache, colored pencils and a bit watercolor on 17x23cm bamboo mixed media paper (6.9x9''). The original will be for sale at the EF17 art show. Took me about 12 hours.
