Scenic Outpost

FINALLY. A Snow leopard in his natural and most comfortable habitat. To live among humans and other fur folks in temperate and tropical zones they would need special suits that keep their temperature DOWN.

There’s all kinds of scenarios. I imagined one where a lonely young leopard boy who has made “friends” with a human mountain climber who died of edema and is now a freeze dried mummy, his face slowly being worn away by the wind where he lies frozen. He talks to him like an imaginary friend all the things he wishes he could discuss with other leopard folk, but they have strict rules for staying out of one another’s hunting territory except for mating and emergencies against common enemies that require a common defense. He even has a girlfriend but they had only hung out once a month for a day or two, except now she’s finally pregnant and doesn’t want to see him again until the cub is weaned, not that he wouldn’t share or sacrifice for them in his capacity as a loving mate and father but their territorial instincts are just too strong.
